Now What? How 'bout a Little Futbol?

We've made no secrets here at HHR that baseball and football are our meat and potatoes. With fifty-some odd days left until opening day, we need to find something to occupy our time besides reality television.

When the Philadelphia Kixx reached out to us to promote their first Dollar Dog Night, we were intrigued. Granted, at first our mind drifted to similar promotions by the Phillies, conveniently coinciding with college night (which ultimately ended up with Dollar Dogs being hurled at fellow fans and players alike), and frankly, this appealed to us.
While we aren't what you'd consider soccer hooligans, we are willing to do our darnedest to try. At least we'll get to watch a championship team in this city. Did you know that the Kixx were the 2007 MISL Champions? Neither did we. We would have so been at that parade down Broad Street.

We can so do this.

So we are going to put a crew together and get down to this game. Phill- area readers, join us if you can for a night of indoor soccer, and then perhaps a venture across the street to McFaddens for some post-game celebrating. Let us know if you're interested in some hooligan-like shenanigans.
