The ESPN NCAA Men's Basketball pre-game shows are making me a little uneasy. Digger and Vitale cannot keep their hands off of Bobby Knight.
I don't know if it is the snazy sweaters and the sweet color combinations he is rocking out, but those two just want to get their mutton paws on him. After every joke they are jonesin' to grab him.
If Knight blurts out, "it feels so good when he jokes" after a Vitale rim shot, we may know why.

Coach Bob Knight abruptly retired Monday, retiring from college basketball after 42 seasons on the sidelines and 902 wins in the record books.
Coach Knight will undoubtedly go down as one of the most successful (apologies to John Wooden) coaches in college basketball history and one that could consistently generate results with teams often composed of less than five-star caliber players.
Coach Knight was all about executing basic basketball - motion sets on offense, man-to-man on defense. The And-1 tour Coach Knight was not - he was simply about playing the same .
While Coach Knight is and always will be regarded as one of the all-time greats in college basketball, but the man had an ego larger than General Patton and a temper large enough to match. More often than not, the fiascos he got himself into off the court largely overshadowed the remarkable achievements he accomplished on it.
Case in point, when the Reverend's wife saw the news that Coach Knight was retiring, she asked me flat out, "What do you think he did? Drive his car into a building or break some kid's neck?"
That's a sad reflection on his legacy as a coach, but a pretty accurate one on Bob Knight, the public figure.
That aside, I always loved it when Coach Knight flipped out or said things that made people blush. If there's one thing that should be remembered about Coach Knight, he did not suffer fools lightly.
