Arlen Specter: Republicans Killed Former Buffalo Bill/GOP Politician Jack Kemp

After his none-to-shocking party switch, Pennsylvania US Sen. Arlen Specter was hounded by just about every Sunday news source this past weekend. Amidst the hullabaloo, you may or may not have heard of the passing (no pun intended) of former Congressman, VP candidate, HUD Secretary and Buffalo Bill quarterback Jack Kemp.

Said Specter to CBS' Bob Schieffer: "If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine."

Lynn Swann, Pat Summerall, And Secretary Kemp Join Florida "Athletes For Victory 2008" Bus Tour

With a possible Presidential loss on the horizon, the Republicans have begun pulling out all the stops. Bringing back the humble losers of the past. Oh, and Pat Summerall. For shits and giggles.

WASHINGTON – Florida Victory today announced that former professional football players Lynn Swann, the Honorable Jack Kemp, and Pat Summerall will join up with the “Victory 2008” bus tour through Florida on Sunday, November 2, and Monday, November 3.
