Brett Favre Sticks it to Kid

We've already highlighted how Brett Favre's career hasn't been the same since his marriage to Deanna. Call it the "Deanna Favre Curse."

Well, a few short months ago, the sports world was introduced to David Witthoft, the young kid from Connecticut who hasn't taken off Favre's jersey in over four years.

In December, Witthoft got to see his first Packers game.

Since then? All downhill for the Pack/Favre who went on to screw the pooch in the playoffs.

Call it the "David Witthoft Curse."

But Brett (being Brett - the ultimate competitor) couldn't let an 11-year old get the best of him.

He's stuck with his wife, but he'd be damned if he ever let a prepubescent boy pull the strings.

So, Brett retired.

And now, poor little David is stuck with two options - be mocked for wearing an old, retired player's jersey as if he couldn't afford a new one; or finally put his streak to an end.

The ball is in your court, David. No one puts Brett Favre in a corner.
