5 Minutes with NFL Star-Turned-Expedition Impossible Contestant AGB

Akbar Gbaja-Biamila epitomizes the new age athlete-turned-entrepreneur and social crusader. The 32 year old Southern California native, known as AGB by friends, parlayed a five year stint in the National Football League (his brother is former NFL player Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila) into a career where he can use his broadcasting and athletic skills to draw attention to cause-related platforms that will make a difference in the lives of others.

AGB is currently a competitor on the ABC show Expedition Impossible. He sat down with us to talk long names, big families and his recent reality show experience.

Video: Runyan Wants to Toughen Up DC

Jon Runyan made his speaking debut on the campaign circuit last night at a Camden County Republican fundraiser.

Said the former Eagle O Lineman: "I was never the best athlete. I was never the fastest guy. I wasn't the strongest. But you know what? I put my work in and I made a mental decision to be the toughest guy out there. And I think taking that tenacity to Washington, DC is going to go a long way."

On why he's running: "The size of the government is totally out of control. The people are the ones that are going to solve these problems. We have to get government out of the way, put money back in the people's hands and let them solve the problems that we have."

As far as his qualifications, Runyan notes that this public service is an extension of the community work he has done in South Jersey over the last decade; and his passion to change the course our country is headed.

Training Camp Postcards, Part 8 of 8: AFC West

As you may or may not follow, SI.com has dispatched "10 writers to report on the 32 NFL training camps across the country" and is featuring their reports throughout August in their Training Camp Postcard segment.

Here at HHR, we prefer to look at actual postcards sent by players to their loved ones, as opposed to Peter King drivel.

Today, we take a look at what's going on in River Falls, WI(Chiefs), Napa Valley, CA (Raiders), San Diego (Chargers), and Englewood, CO (Broncos).

And the Oscar won't go to....

We don't know why anyone would make this film either

From Dan Gross of the Daily News:

Filmmaker Tim Carr says he's still test-screening "Leaf," his half-narrative, half-documentary feature about former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf. He'll host a free screening at 8 p.m. March 6 at the Anthony Wayne Cinema (109 W. Lancaster Ave.) in Wayne.

Leaf, now a quarterback coach at West Texas A&M, was the No. 2 pick, after Peyton Manning, in the 1998 NFL draft. He started with the San Diego Chargers, but injuries, poor play, verbal abuse by reporters and fans, and confrontations with teammates led to his retirement in 2002. "Leaf" is Carr's directorial debut, but his acting credits include "All My Children" and "Rocky Balboa."

Former Eagles Hugh Douglas and Fred Barnett appear in "Leaf," as does former Soul player Keita Crespina.

Leaf is just the working title, other options were...

No country for terrible quarterbacks
There will be losing
Juno (he is going to be terrible right?)
Sweeney Dudd
The Assasination of Ryan Leaf by the coward Bobby Beathard
Gone Baby Gone (after 3 seasons)
