Wooooo! Nature Boy Beat Up By Daughter's 22-Year-Old Boyfriend
Out of Raleigh, Woooooo!, North Carolina, the AP is reporting that Naitch obtained blood and bruises "after a fight with his daughter's 22-year-old boyfriend." Additionally, "Flair's daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, was charged for resisting police after the 22-year-old became belligerent and kicked an officer, Chapel Hill police Lt. Kevin Gunter said Tuesday."
Neighbors called police about 2:30 a.m. Friday about a fight at an apartment in the city about 30 miles northwest of Raleigh. The fight was over, but officers followed a trail of blood to Fliehr's apartment. She told police the men had fought but it was over and things were fine. Officers found the 59-year-old Flair, whose real name is Richard Fliehr, on a bed in the back room. The boyfriend was in another part of the apartment. Flair admitted fighting with the boyfriend but he didn't want to press charges, Gunter said. Gunter refused to give the boyfriend's name because he was not charged.

Woooooo! CSPAN Styles and Profiles
Did Rep. Myrick just utter the words: "Dishing out his trademark chops and (of course) dreaded figure-4 leglock"?
And she "Woooooos!"
If I lived in her district, she'd have my vote.
(Then again, I live in NJ, and voting multiple times in multiple places is not out of the ordinary).
It'd have been better if Arn Anderson was behind her giving the ol' neck slice gesture.

The Nature Boy says goodbye
From right after Flair's last match at Wrestlemania...
Gotta admit...that hug with Dusty made me smile. Maybe I am old school like that. Or maybe I am gay. Whichever.

Ric Flair Presented Key to Columbia South Carolina
With tears in his eyes, Nature Boy Ric Flair accepted the key to the City of Columbia, South Carolina, noting "Of all the things I've supposedly done in my career...I'm most proud of moments like this."
TheState.com has a great photo gallery of the presentation here.
Personally, I would rank his accomplishments in this order:
1. Causing a Pavlovian "Wooooo" response to the knife edge chop.
2. Having balls enough to call Paul "Romeo" Roma a Four Horseman.
3. Professional wrestling world record holder for nut-shots given in a career.
4. Invention of the "Flair Flop."
5. Invention of the "Flip over the turnbuckle, run down the mat to be clotheslined."
6. Most damage done to own wardrobe by elbow dropping his own jacket for no apparent reason.
7. This saying:
8. Receiving the key to the City of Columbia, South Carolina.

My God! That's Aaron Rodgers' Music!
On the heels of news that the Dirtiest Player in the Game Ric Flair is hanging up his spandex and sequined robes, the Indy Star (via Fox) is reporting that another aging vet, who like the Nature Boy has a knack for performing beyond his years and also has flirted with retirement in the past, is also reportedly stepping down.ESPN.com said that "according to Favre's agent the quarterback told coach Mike McCarthy of his decision."
While we are quick to jump all over Favre's case for multiple things, i.e. his outlaw-like and sometimes counter-productive approach to the game, the media's love affair with him, and his perpetual indecisiveness to actually retire, we can appreciate the passion and enjoyment with which he played the game. We hope this isn't another of his off-season shenanigans and that he follows through instead of jerking his franchise, his teammates and Green Bay fans around. Not that we wish he'd really retire, but just for the sake of not being a dick.
Yardbarker ShakespheareD notes: "I can't wait until Rogers' heel turn against Detroit this year."
It's inevitable. I'd like to see him superkick Donald Driver through a barbershop window.
Good luck, Brett. And good luck, John Madden.
